“Do you charge for a Bluegrass Gospel Jam?”
“All Jams are offered free of charge. Everyone is welcome.”
“Do musicians have to try out before they are allowed to join in the Jams?”
“No tryouts or auditions. We welcome and encourage all skill levels.”
“Can people who sing, but don’t play an instrument, join in, too?
“Yes.”
“ Are kids allowed to play and sing?”
“Yes. We encourage all ages.”
“When do you practice?”
“We just show up and play together. That’s the magic and mystery of the success of the Jams.”
“How are the Jams financed?”
“Donation cans. Sometimes we sell various gospel jam apparel and CDs. We are currently seeking advertising sponsors.”
“Are the Jams acoustical only?”
“It varies with every location. Some Jams are entirely acoustical. Some Jams have a mixture of acoustical and amplified instruments.”
“How do you advertise the Jams?”
“Email…Craig’s List…Facebook…printed flyers…word of mouth personal invitation, church bulletins, Internet.”
